Refine allows you to plan the routing of vehicles with two levels of sophistication - Basic Routing and OptiTool Assisted Routing.
By combining routing and order processing into one system, each part of your business has a better appreciation of the pressures that exist and a common platform on which to co-operate in maximising customer service and margin.
Basic Routing
Within Refine you can create job sheets for vehicles to control every aspect of the working day, from a driver starting work through to locking up the yard. Refine can deal with both stock and non-stock vehicle events, for example meal breaks or truck washes. All events are planned and confirmed within Refine.
Once an event has been planned it can be transmitted directly to a vehicle via On-Board Computing, or a daily worksheet can be printed in the traditional way.
In addition, using hardware and software from Oilband (a Fuel Oil Systems Alliance partner) loading can also be automated and integrated into the planning exercise. Reporting of budgeted hours, actual hours, and comparisons are also part of Refine.
Lastly, as orders are planned the capacity views available to sales order operators are updated, as is the Transport information associated with an order so that customer service is enhanced.
OptiTool Assisted Routing
For larger and more demanding businesses Refine can include OptiTool Assisted Routing. This injects software intelligence into the planning excercise, allowing a user to operate in either computer-assisted mode whereby the software completes a first-pass of route optimisation for a user to hone, or complete automatic optimisation mode.
OptiTool is sensitive to all necessary constraints - vehicle, site, product, driver and route - and utilises all this information to optimise routing.
All data is passed seamlessly and instantly between Refine and OptiTool to maximise efficiency.
